Often an organisation does not fully realise the risks inherent in how their people are acting until it is too late and either a financial loss has occurred or the organisation’s financial reputation has been impacted negatively. In a worst case scenario poor human capital behaviour can result in safety incidents, environmental degradation or even the loss of life.
There is also increasing evidence to show that major organisational decisions are regularly made without taking into account what effect the human capital within that organisation will have on the success of those decisions. While senior management is well meaning in its intention it often lacks appropriate people centric business tools, which enable effective risk mitigation planning.
